Art Exhibition: Justine Tourtellotte

Join us for an art exhibition of the work of Justine Tourtellotte, whose art is currently on display on the walls of the Community Center.
Justine Tourtellotte (@_miss_tourtellini) is a Boston-based painter known for her expressive use of acrylic on canvas, blending one-line art with bold color juxtapositions to create striking depictions of abstract women and men. Originally from Webster, Massachusetts, she moved to Boston in 2019 and discovered painting in 2020 as a way to process emotional hardship and self discovery. Her early work was influenced by the transient nature of sand mandalas, embracing the idea that art evolves through the viewer’s interpretation. This allows the viewer to transform and release the original emotions tied to the work— giving each piece a new meaning. Over time, her focus has shifted toward capturing the essence of love, loss, and femininity, using fluid lines and layered hues to evoke depth and emotion. Justine’s work has been exhibited at Revolution Hall in Lexington, and she has created pieces for private collections across the US. Viewers are encouraged to engage with her art with a blank slate, allowing meaning to emerge naturally. To her, art is a deeply personal space—an invitation to explore how we each interpret and assign meaning in life based on our own experiences.
