Fenway Cares

What Is Fenway Cares?

Fenway Cares is a collaborative effort of six Fenway-based organizations emerging from a shared goal to provide assistance to residents during the COVID-19 pandemic and that continues today. Every other Wednesday, free fresh produce distributions and a mobile preventative health clinic, hosted by Massachusetts General Hospital, are offered at West and East Fenway locations.

Food Distributions and Preventative Care Visits

Since 2020, Fenway Cares and volunteers have worked to distribute more than 10,000 bags of fresh, free produce to neighbors in need each year, supported by state and grant funding and the help of local businesses, institutions, and community organizations These contributions made it possible to secure grant funding and volunteers to support the Fenway Cares team.

These free fresh produce distribution events take place every other Wednesday in both West and East Fenway. The West Fenway event takes place at Fenway Community Center (1282 Boylston St) and the East Fenway event takes place at Symphony Community Park (39 Edgerly Rd). The businesses and organizations who help make Fenway Cares possible are listed below. For more information about the food distributions, click here.
